Stay a night for free, a gift from Modena

Following the success of the previous edition, the Chamber Board (Resolution no. 10 of 01/26/2026) has approved the continuation of the "Modena ti regala una notte" (Get a free night in Modena) initiative for 2026. This project aims to promote tourism within the Province of Modena by encouraging visitors to extend their weekend stays, generating a positive impact on accommodation facilities and the entire tourism and commercial supply chain.

The Offer

The initiative provides a direct refund for the cost of one night stay (room) for anyone staying at least two nights between Friday, Saturday and Sunday in accommodation facilities located in the Province of Modena.

• Refund Limit: The refund cannot exceed €200.00 per room.
• Total Cap: Each applicant (tourist or company) can receive a maximum total of €2,000.00 for multiple stays.
• Applicability: The cost of the final night of the weekend stay will be refunded.

Dates and Funding

The initiative runs from Friday, March 6, to Sunday, August 30, 2026, unless funds are exhausted earlier. The initial budget allocation is € 75,000.00.

Eligible Facilities

The project involves all accommodation activities (hotel or non-hotel) in the Province of Modena, provided they are regularly registered with the Register of Companies. To verify registration, you may consult the attached PDF list.

How to Request a Refund

The refund request must be submitted only after the stay has been completed. To apply, you must submit the request along with:

1. Invoice or tax receipt issued to the applicant, including his/her name and Tax Code (Codice Fiscale), stay dates, and the specific cost of the overnight stay.
   • Note: Other services (breakfast, dinner, tourist tax) must be listed separately.
2. Proof of payment for the expense (e.g., "executed" bank transfer confirmation, or a debit/credit card receipt).

The Chamber of Commerce commits to processing and paying the refund by the end of the month following the submission of the required documentation.

Procedure

• Applications can only be submitted at the end of the stay.
• The submission link for refund requests will be published on Sunday, March 8, the first available date for requests relating to stays on March 6 and 7.
